FAQ

How Can I Copyright the Name of My Band?

Words and short phrases such as names, titles and slogans are not subject to copyright protection. See 37 C.F.R. ¤ 202.1(a) at: https://www.copyright.gov/title37/202/37cfr202-1.html. Consequently, the name of your band would not be eligible for copyright protection.

Information about obtaining a registered trademark for the name of your band may be obtained at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, www.uspto.gov .
