Answer: A copyright notice generally consists of the symbol ©, word copyright or abbreviation copr., along with the copyright owner’s name, and the year of first publication. For example:

There was a time when including a copyright notice on a copyrighted work was required but that is no longer the case. Although a copyright notice is not required there are several benefits to associating a copyright notice with your work.
