Since its inception nine years ago, the Copyright Alliance has been a staunch advocate for creators’ rights and for a strong and effective copyright law.
But that isn’t all that we do. In 2013, the Copyright Alliance began a partnership with New York based Cravath, Swaine and Moore LLP to assist in finding potential clients for an externship program at Columbia Law School to provide free legal representation to individuals and small businesses in lawsuits involving cutting edge copyright issues. As we approach our ten-year anniversary, we will be partnering with our organizational members to take things to the next level. This means that, in addition to advocating for individual creators, we will soon be providing our individual creator members with valuable copyright services.
Some of these services will include:
access to easy to understand copyright educational materials, videos and
courses directed to the individual creator community;
copyright registration services to help creators cost-effectively and easily
register their creations with the U.S. Copyright Office; and
sending DMCA takedown notices to ISPs to facilitate removing infringing materials
from the Internet.
If you are interested in learning more about these services when we
formally announce them, visit Join CA.
It’s completely free and there is no commitment required to join the Alliance!
