Copyright Alliance Announces Kasie Brill as New Board Chair

WASHINGTON, DC—Today, the Copyright Alliance announced that Kasie Brill has been named as Chair of its Board of Directors. Brill, an experienced intellectual property advocate and policy leader, brings extensive experience in IP policy, brand protection, and public-private partnerships to her new role. She currently serves as the Vice President of Content Protection at NBCUniversal and has held senior positions with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) and as Executive Director of the Chamber’s Global Brand Council.

In a statement, Copyright Alliance CEO Keith Kupferschmid said, “Kasie has been an invaluable member of the Copyright Alliance Board, and we are thrilled that she will now serve as our next Board Chair. Her deep understanding of intellectual property policy, experience bringing diverse stakeholders together, and strong commitment to protecting IP make her an exceptional leader.”

His six-year tenure as Chairman has been defined by tremendous impact including a major reshaping of the Copyright Alliance’s membership structure and helping our organization navigate the challenges posed by the rise of AI and its impact on copyright. Greg has been a fierce champion for copyright and creators for decades and we are grateful for the knowledge, dedication, and leadership that he brought to our board.”
