Washington, DC—Today, Copyright Alliance CEO Keith Kupferschmid issued the following statement in support of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s (SJC) favorable consideration of Deborah Robinson becoming the next Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC):

“The Copyright Alliance fully supports President Biden’s nomination of Deborah Robinson as the next IPEC and was thrilled that the Senate Judiciary Committee voted favorably on her nomination during its executive meeting this morning. The position of Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC) is crucial to the United States’ continued strong and effective support for intellectual property (IP) laws and policies, both domestically and abroad. We have complete confidence that she will do a tremendous job in this critical role. Deborah Robinson is an accomplished attorney, experienced IP content and protection specialist, and former prosecutor who has real world enforcement experience. Her experience and skill set are the perfect combination for an IPEC. We urge the full Senate to take up her nomination as soon as possible and confirm her as the next IPEC.”
