Washington, DC – The Copyright Alliance is pleased to announce its new Board of Directors Chairman Greg Saphier, Senior Vice President of External Affairs at the Motion Picture Association (MPA); and Vice Chairman Matt Barblan, Vice President of Public Policy at the Association of American Publishers (AAP).

According to Copyright Alliance CEO Keith Kupferschmid, “We are very excited to have Greg and Matt lead the way as we start a new chapter under their direction and look forward to all that they will contribute. We also want to take a moment to recognize our former Board Chairman David Green, Vice President of Public Policy at NBCUniversal, who we cannot thank enough for his tremendous leadership and vast contributions in support of the Copyright Alliance and our members.”

In speaking about becoming Board Chairman, Greg noted, “I’m honored and excited to continue serving the Copyright Alliance in this new role and working with Matt, Keith and the Board as we advocate for strong copyright and the important role it plays in promoting creativity and innovation. And I would also like to thank David for his excellent tenure as Chairman. The Copyright Alliance has had an impressive run over the last several years, racking up important legislative achievements, expanding and diversifying its membership, and increasing the stature of the organization with policymakers and other key stakeholders. David’s steady hand has been an important part of that success.”

According to Matt on becoming Vice Chairman, “The Copyright Alliance is a tremendously important voice in advancing and protecting the interests of the creative community, and I am grateful and excited to work together with Greg, Keith, and the rest of the Board in this new role.
