Copyright Alliance Issues Statement on Chairman Goodlatte Retirement

Washington, D.C. In response to the announcement that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) will retire at the end of his current term, Copyright Alliance CEO Keith Kupferschmid released the following statement:

“The Copyright Alliance commends Chairman Goodlatte for his unfailing commitment to the copyright community throughout his distinguished Congressional tenure. We are grateful for all that he has accomplished on behalf of our community, including the introduction of the Register of Copyrights Selection and Accountability Act earlier this year. Although we will miss his leadership, wisdom and support, it’s a pleasure to wish him well as he starts the next chapter of his life and career at the conclusion of his term in December 2018.”
