What was the inspiration behind becoming a creator? What do you enjoy most about the creative process?
My inspiration is Imran Khan. I loved to hear his Punjabi songs in my childhood times. I learned many things from his songs like speaking and understanding of the Punjabi language. When I passed my 10th grade class, I started writing lyrics of songs in the Punjabi language, and I enjoyed this creative process.
Can you talk through your creative process? How long does it take? Does everything you produce make money?
Yes, it takes time to make something that can be understandable for people’s tastes. I released my first single in 2010 and, yes, it definitely makes money for me. My first payment was $25. It’s a process that takes years to make money from your works, but time pays off for working hard.
When did you first become aware of copyright, and why?
My first record label was prestigious, and they registered all of my recorded work in a legal copyright certification at the time. That’s how I became aware of copyright. And right now, in today’s era, copyright is the first priority for a music artist.
How has AI technology impacted your works and career?
Right now, I’m not facing AI issues in my career (from 2010 until now).
What is your biggest copyright-related challenge?
The biggest challenge is for those who work illegally in this field. But I don’t currently face any copyright challenges because I have copyright certificates to protect all of my creative works.
