On Monday, November 15, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will hear oral arguments in Lang Van, Inc. v. VNG Corporation. The issue on appeal is whether the district court erred in dismissing copyright infringement claims against VNG and its operators for lack of personal jurisdiction. On November 10, the U.S. Copyright Office announced an additional extension for the deadline in responding to its notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) on procedures governing the initial stages of a proceeding before the Copyright Claims Board (CCB). Comments are now due by November 30 and reply comments are due by December 15.
