The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)—along with partner organizations such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Copyright Office, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, American Bar Association (ABA), and more—will host a World IP Day (WIPD) celebration on May 1, featuring a three-hour program focused on WIPD’s 2024 theme, IP and the SDGs: Building Our Common Future with Innovation and Creativity. Presentations will include information on how IP supports the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, including affordable and clean energy, climate action, and gender equality. The celebration is sponsored by Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chair of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet.
