The Authors Guild is hosting a conversation with U.S. Representative Teresa Leger Fernández (D-NM) and Authors Guild lobbyist Marla Grossman. Representative Leger Fernández sponsored both the Creative Economy Revitalization Act (CERA) and the 21st Century Federal Writers Project. “This discussion will address the importance of authors and other creative professionals as a driving force in both our culture and the economy,” as well as the Congresswoman’s “legislative efforts to provide grant opportunities to put artists to work, as well as our proposed legislative amendments to enable authors and other freelance creators to engage in collective bargaining.” Registration for this event is closed.
