On December 9 at 3:00 p.m. ET, the Senate Judiciary Committee’s (SJC) IP Subcommittee will hold a hearing titled Balancing the Interests of Local Radio, Songwriters, and Performers in the Digital Age, which will focus on proposals for a public performance right for non-subscription terrestrial radio broadcast transmissions and the American Music Fairness Act (AMFA). Witnesses for the hearing include Gene Simmons, Kiss; Henry Hinton, President & CEO, Inner Banks Media; and Michael Huppe, President & CEO, SoundExchange.
