Georgetown University (GU), in partnership with its College of Arts & Sciences and the GU Law Center, will host a Music Sustainabilty Forum titled Music and AI: Creativity, Labor, and Power. The event will bring together musicians, scholars, policymakers, attorneys, and leaders from the music industry and cultural sectors to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the conditions of musical work, authorship, and creativity. The event will feature panel discussions, artist presentations, demos, a discussion of the creation, circulation, and value of music, and what these changes mean for sustainability and equity across the field.
