The Hudson Institute will debut a panel recording titled State Sovereign Immunity for Intellectual Property Infringement, which will beshared with all who register in advance for the event. Hudson Institute Legal Fellow Devlin Hartline will moderate the panel, which will focus on “the problems of state infringements and explore whether Congress now has enough evidence to successfully abrogate state sovereign immunity for intellectual property infringements.” Speakers include Kevin Madigan of the Copyright Alliance, who will discuss the U.S. Copyright Office report titled Copyright and State Sovereign Immunity; Kristen Osenga of the University of Richmond Law School, who will discuss the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office report titled Infringement Disputes Between Patent and Trademark Rights Holders and States and State Entities; and Rick Allen of Nautilus Productions, who will discuss Allen v. Cooper.
