Deadline to Respond to USCO Fee Study NRPM
May 4 All day
On March 19, the U.S. Copyright Office (USCO) announced a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) requesting public comments on proposed changes to its fee schedule. The NPRM proposes increases across the board to basic and group registration, recordation, appeals, and expedited and special handling fees. The Copyright Office also plans to issue a separate notice of inquiry on alternative fee structures (such as tiered pricing or flat-rate subscriptions) that may be feasible once its new Enterprise Copyright System (ECS) is operational. The deadline for submitting comments in response to the NPRM is May 4.
