December 7 is the deadline to submit first round comments from those who support new or expanded exemptions as well as those who neither support nor oppose an exemption but have important information to share under Section 1201 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The comments are part of the U.S. Copyright Office’s (USCO) tenth triennial rulemaking proceeding, which examines whether certain activities should be exempt from DMCA’s prohibition on bypassing technological protection measures that control access to copyrighted works.
