The Authors Guild is hosting an event that will serve as a case study of the path to book publication. “From Manuscript to Marketplace offers candid talks between an author and members of their publishing team about each step of the publication process, including acquisition, editorial, marketing, and more.” The event speaker is author Patrice Gopo, along with University of Nebraska Press acquisitions editor Courtney Ochsner and marketing and sales manager Rosemary Sekora. Gopo, Ochsner, and Sekora will discuss the recently published Autumn Song: Essays on Absence and the steps taken throughout the publication process. A Q&A will follow the presentation.
