Library of Congress Hosts 2021 National Book Festival

September 17, 2021 September 26, 2021 EDT

The theme for the 2021 National Book Festival, hosted by the Library of Congress, is Open a Book, Open the World. The 10 day event will offer content and events online through on demand videos, live author conversations and live Q&A sessions. It will also feature “a new podcast series, a national television special and some in-person, ticketed events at the Library.” According to Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla Hayden, “This year, we are inviting Americans to create their own National Book Festival experiences by offering free, high quality programs in a variety of formats that they can mix and match according to their interests and schedules.” Authors featured during the 2021 Festival include Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Roxane Gay, Kazuo Ishiguro, Michael J. Fox, and many more authors, poets and illustrators. Additional information is available here and here. To sign up for updates about the Festival, please click here.
