Innovation Versus Regulation in the Video Marketplace

The Copyright Alliance focuses its testimony on (1) the investments being made by talented men and women across the country in order to produce creative works with high production values, (2) the innovation occurring in the video marketplace, and (3) legal guideposts for the Subcommittee to consider from a copyright law perspective. The testimony also includes discussion on compulsory licenses, arguing that they should not be expanded and are only appropriate in narrow circumstances to address market failure.
