On February 2 at 10 a.m. ET, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing titled Respecting Artists with the American Music Fairness Act to discuss the American Music Fairness Act (AMFA), H.R. 4130, a bi-partisan bill introduced by Representatives Ted Deutch and Issa on June 24, 2021, which would provide a terrestrial public performance right for sound recordings.
