Washington, DC–The Copyright Alliance, which represents the copyright interests of over two million individual creators and more than 15,000 organizations across the spectrum of copyright disciplines, initiated the following statement today on its Board Chair Greg Saphier undertaking a new career opportunity.
According to Copyright Alliance CEO Keith Kupferschmid, “Greg Saphier has been a tremendous leader and advocate for the creative industries throughout his career, and his impact at the Motion Picture Association (MPA) cannot be overstated. His work helped modernize advocacy efforts in DC and strengthened support for policies that protect creativity, innovation, and copyright. As Chairman of the Copyright Alliance Board, Greg has brought that same vision, strategic insight, and collaborative spirit to our organization, helping us advance policies that empower creators and copyright owners across the country.”
While we will miss his leadership as Chairman and working with him at the MPA, we are excited for Greg as he begins this next chapter at Shape Advocacy. His deep expertise in copyright, technology, and public policy, combined with his ability to build coalitions and drive meaningful change, will make him an invaluable asset to Shape and its clients. We look forward to continuing to work with Greg in his new role and congratulate him on this well-deserved opportunity.”
