On May 21, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announced the finalists for the 2024 WIPO Global Awards, which “celebrate the use of intellectual property (IP) to turn innovation and creativity into tangible solutions.” Twenty-five small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) were selected as finalists “for innovations in a variety of economic sectors, such as food, green tech, health, ICT, and the creative industries.” The winners will be announced on July 12 at 11:50 a.m. Geneva time in a ceremony to be held during the WIPO Assemblies, which can be viewed via livecast.
