USCO Black History Month Event

The U.S. Copyright Office is hosting a virtual event in honor of Black History Month titled Hip-Hop Beyond 50: Protecting and Promoting Culture. The event features speakers from the Copyright Office, industry experts, and practitioners about hip-hop’s influence worldwide and the Office’s resources available on sampling, interpolations, and beat stores. Guest speakers include Dae Bogan, Head of Third-Party Partnerships, Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC); Jamila Sams, Founder and CEO, We Do it for the Culture; Bruce Waynne, Grammy Award–winning music producer, publisher, and label executive; and Junious Brickhouse, Director of Next Level, Hip Hop Diplomacy Program.
