On December 8, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Ranking Member John Conyers (D-MI) released the first policy proposal to come out of the Committee’s review of U.S. copyright law. The document focuses on Reform of the U.S. Copyright Office, which includes granting the Office autonomy over its budget and technology needs and creating a small claims system within the Office. Reps. Goodlatte and Conyers released a statement and video to accompany the proposal.
