Deadline for USCO and USPTO to Complete Joint NFT Study

Summary: On June 9, 2022, Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Patrick Leahy (D-VT) sent a letter to Kathi Vidal, Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and Shira Perlmutter, Register of Copyrights and Director of the U.S. Copyright Office, requesting that the two agencies conduct a joint study on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the impact and application to intellectual property rights.
