The Copyright Alliance maintains and runs the one voi©e social networking site, a members-only site for artists and creators. The service allows artists and creators from all fields to interact with each other and make their voices heard on defending their rights.

This Terms of Use Agreement (ToU) outlines legal terms of use for one voi©e. Use of One voi©e means you have accepted this ToU. Thus, we encourage you to read this document and save a copy of it. Furthermore, the ToU may be modified occasionally so we encourage return visits to the ToU after you join one voi©e.

one voi©e is a member organization, requiring the payment of dues (unless the Copyright Alliance chooses to waive a candidate’s dues). Dues may come at different tiers of membership, and the Copyright Alliance reserves the right to raise or lower dues at will. This does not affect those who have already paid dues, in terms of requiring additional payment for their membership term or making them eligible for a partial refund of dues.

When joining one voi©e, potential members will be asked to select a username and password. The username will be the way the member is presented to others in the social network. The member is fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password. An account is for one member only; that member may not allow others to use the account. Notify the Copyright Alliance if you have any suspicion that someone else is using your account.

This ToU primarily focuses on two areas – the nature of posted content and the nature of one’s behavior in the social network.

Posted Content

The Copyright Alliance respects the rights of creators and expects one voi©e members to do the same. You may not upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available the copyrighted work of another or others from whom you have not received permission. The Copyright Alliance may terminate the one voi©e membership of anyone found violating another’s copyright.

Anyone suspecting their copyright has been violated may send the Copyright Alliance a notification indicating identification of the work or works alleged to be infringed or a list of such works; information allowing us to identify the work on one voi©e; your contact information; a statement by you in good faith that the ownership of the work or works is not in dispute; a statement by you, under penalty of perjury, that all information provided is accurate and that you either are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf. You may also send information electronically to info@copyrightalliance.org .

The Copyright Alliance and one voi©e site do not claim ownership over any images, text, music or other works posted by you to one voi©e. You retain all rights after posting. The license you grant the Copyright Alliance is royalty free, such that the Copyright Alliance does not need to pay you for its display on one voi©e. Works uploaded by one voi©e  members will stay within the one voi©e  site. Should the Copyright Alliance wish to display or promote any of your work outside of one voi©e, the copyright owner’s permission will be required.

Member Behavior on one voi©e

It is expected that the creators belonging to one voi©e will wish to promote their art, as well as upcoming events, to other members. This is appropriate for a community of artists. That said, members are not expected to join one voi©e for the primary purpose of marketing, and members who repeatedly use the service primarily for that purpose in a manner that disturbs other members could have messages and/or content removed, and could after additional infractions be removed from one voi©e with no refund.

one voi©e is a friendly environment that allows artists and creators to interact harmoniously. Hostile and/or illegal behavior will not be tolerated, and could lead to deletion of posts or content or to termination of membership in one voi©e with no refund.

one voi©e will not tolerate language designed to harass, threaten, express racism or other hostile perspectives, solicit personal information from minors, solicit passwords, or post information presenting a security threat to others. one voi©e will not tolerate copyright violations, spamming or links to any adult material. Posted content that deals with an adult nature, from imagery to music, will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, in a way that respects the creative vision of the artist but also considers the values of the greater community. Thoughtfulness is requested on the part of the artist when considering such a posting. The Copyright Alliance reserves the right to take down work or language viewed in the one voi©e community as particularly offensive.

one voi©e is not responsible for the content, accuracy, hyperlinks or opinions expressed on one voi©e, and they may not necessarily represent the viewpoint of the Copyright Alliance. one voi©e is not responsible for the behavior of members online or offline.

In no event is one voi©e or the Copyright Alliance liable to a member or any third party for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages, even if the Copyright Alliance has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Members will hold the Copyright Alliance and one voi©e and its officers, agents, partners and employees harmless from any loss, liability, claim or demand made resulting from use by a member or third party arising out of use in violation of this ToU.

The Copyright Alliance and one voi©e is bound by a privacy policy.
